Dr. Nihal Abeyesundere former director of Anti-Malaria Campaign is a prime icon of history of Malaria in Sri Lanka. as a consultant community physician, he has played a major role toward the elimination of malaria which lead us to enter the prevention of re-introduction phase. he has served as a Malariologist in Bangladesh, Nepal as a WHO representative. Even after her retirement, he has served as a consultant for USAID, World Bank, UN and WHO.
