Sri Lanka contributed significantly to make this event a success. Dr Kim Lindale, Team Leader, Elimination unit, Global Malaria Programme, WHO quoted this as a lively, informative and well –attended side event and thanked us for our contribution.
Hon.Dr. Rajitha Senaratne, Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine, Sri Lanka made a speech on efforts on malaria elimination in Sri Lanka followed by video on Sri Lanka’s Success story.

Dr Dewanee Ranaweera, Consultant Community Physician, Anti Malaria Campaign coordinated and participated in the event and most of the ground work related to the event was done by the staff of the , Anti Malaria Campaign.
